Students Software Available

Students software is available on campus in their personal bookstores for the university. At most, a student must have a virus protection program on their computer to prevent a hard drive crash. Also, students are urged to purchase external hard drives to keep their files protected throughout the year. This is very important because your computer may crash at any moment. Our students software contains a multi-virus program to analyze all e-mails, downloads, and computer files already on the system. Advanced technology has enabled the IT team to develop complex programs to fight off potential computer virus threats sent in spam emails.

Plenty of students software is compatible with university regulations on certain campuses; e.g. North Carolina State University. It is imperative to use the virus protection programs distributed from the IT team on campus. If you feel that your system is okay, it is best to take precaution against potential computer viruses that can wipe out your information. I suggest purchasing an external hard drive to keep all of your files because some students software does not back up a tremendous amount of information. For example, my university has a new program available for students to have their files backed up on an off-site system. We can have our files backed up overnight with no extra charge. This advantage gives us a peace of mind.

Some students software has more in-depth analysis capabilities compared to others. Students increase their protection by following the university guidelines to protect the whole network. With this, the university might track a student’s Trojan and send help to restore their files. For example, I lost connection to our Internet network once the IT team detected a Trojan on my computer system. Someone was sent to my room to fix the issue and then I had to check in with the IT team to receive connectivity once more.
